Non-Ferrous Metals Recycling (Copper & Brass)
Beyond beverage containers, we accept non-ferrous metals such as copper wire and brass scrap. Our centers offer transparent weighing and prompt cash payments for your recyclable metals. Recycling valuable metals helps conserve resources and benefits both your wallet and the environment.

How to Recycle With Us

1. Collect Eligible Items
Gather CRV-labeled aluminum cans, plastic bottles (such as PET #1, HDPE #2), glass beverage bottles, and non-ferrous metal scrap (copper, brass). Make sure containers are empty and free from excessive debris or liquid.
2. Prepare for Drop-Off
Separate different material types (aluminum, plastic, glass, copper, brass) for faster service. Remove caps or lids where possible, especially on bottles. Please flatten containers to save space, but do not crush bottles if you want to receive payment by count.
3. Visit a Convenient Center
Bring your items to our nearest location in Los Angeles, Los Molinos, Chico, or Red Bluff. Staff will assist with sorting, weighing, and verifying CRV eligibility, and answer your recycling questions.
4. Receive Cash Payment
Once weighed and counted, you'll receive immediate cash refunds, following California's official CRV rates for containers and competitive rates for non-ferrous metal scrap.

Which Items Are Accepted?

  • CRV Beverage Containers: Most carbonated and non-carbonated drinks sold in CA, including water, sodas, teas, beers, and juices in aluminum, glass, or plastic containers with a CRV mark.
  • Not Accepted: Milk, wine, distilled spirits, large non-CRV containers, and hazardous or contaminated items.
  • Non-Ferrous Metals: Clean copper wire or tubing, brass plumbing, and similar scrap metals. Ferrous (magnetic) metals, electronics, or appliances are NOT accepted for cash redemption.
If you have questions about specific items, please contact us before visiting.

Preparation Checklist

  • Empty and rinse containers before drop-off to minimize odor and speed up processing.
  • Sort materials by type (plastic, glass, aluminum, copper, brass) into separate bags or boxes.
  • If you wish to redeem by count, keep bottles/cans uncrushed. Flattening saves space for bulk weight redemption.
  • Remove any non-recyclable material or residue.
  • Have a government-issued photo ID for larger recycling amounts, as required by California law.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which types of beverage containers are eligible for CRV redemption?
Most single-serve bottled and canned beverages, including water, soda, beer, tea, juice, and many flavored drinks in aluminum, plastic, and glass, if marked with the CRV label. Milk, wine, spirits, and larger unmarked bottles are not eligible.
Can I bring other metals or electronics?
We only accept non-ferrous (non-magnetic) metals like copper and brass. Electronics, general appliances, and ferrous (magnetic) metals are not eligible for cash payout at our centers.
Do I need to separate my containers?
Pre-sorting your materials by type (aluminum, glass, plastic, copper, brass) speeds up your visit. Staff can assist if you arrive unsorted, but this may add processing time, especially on busy days.
What do I need to bring when recycling a large load?
For large quantities or bulk recycling, bring a valid government-issued photo ID. This helps us comply with California laws for larger cash redemptions and scrap metal transactions.
How do payments work?
We pay cash on the spot, following California’s CRV rates and global scrap market prices for copper and brass. Weights and counts are performed openly for transparency.
Do you offer pick-up service?
Currently, our facilities operate as drop-off centers. For institutional or recurring high-volume needs, please contact us to discuss your requirements in advance.
